Give it up for our manufacturer!!! He not only produced great, professional quality parts for us, but he also learned how to take pictures in only 24 hours.

These parts haven't been trimmed yet so the final result will be even better. Also these have no color - this is the natural color of the rubber they're using. The parts will have a color eventually.

We've been trying to figure out SAR testing requirements since the end of 2009. As you know this will affect our ability to allow the DL2000 receiver to actively send data, which would be good for a number of applications.

The latest FCC reply says:

"In general, and in accordance with KDB 447498, a stand alone module in portable conditions, without simultaneous transmission can be used without restriction of host platforms and do not require further SAR evaluation when the source-based time-averaged output power is < 60/f(GHz) mW or all measured 1-g SAR are < 0.4 W/kg."

Now most of you will realize immediately that without knowing what the time period is that you're averaging output power over, the above equations aren't very meaningful.

Not only that, but they go as far as urging us to "ask the manufacturer of the RF module". How lazy and unprofessional is that? They're the regulatory body!
